Eat Healthy under strain
One of the times i find it hardest to stick to an eating healthily program is when I am having a bad day or am just completely stressed. Sadly, my first thought is to have some truly good comfort food. I think of truly rich things to eat that are appalling for my fat loss method and worse for my over all well being. When the body is wired, it really wants healthy foods more at that point than any other. Filling it up with all the junk I desire when i’m having a bad day is worse because I am not giving myself what I require to correctly deal with the strain.
Here are some techniques I try to avoid stress eating. I try and carry good healthy nibbles with me all of the time. These are usually stuff like trail mix or granola bars possessing a small fat in them that might satisfy that urge to eat a giant chocolate bar when i’m getting wired. They are basically better for my body than the large chocolate bar and will give me the nutrients I should deal with my hectic way of life. Peanut butter is a great thing to have on hand if you can. I keep some in my briefcase ( peculiar, I know, but it works for me ) and I should have a spoonful if i’m ever going to be late for a meal or if I just need a good satisfying break. It’s surprising that it can really curb hunger pains and also satisfies those urges I am getting when i’m stressed out.
I try to plan all my meals in advance. This helps me to adhere to what I’ve already decided when the current gets tough. Sure, sometimes I have tossed my lunch and went out for a cheeseburger, but it does not occur that frequently if I have already got a clever plan. I really try to add in mouth-watering things to all my meals. If i’m certain to get enough healthy fats, it helps me to stop craving them when the levels of stress increase.
I also like to keep things like jell-o around. It actually have any calories, but satisfies my sweet tooth if i’m getting a craving. Adding some double cream is also ok, since the whipping cream is still pretty low calorie.
These are all things that help me avoid stress eating. You’ll have to try them and work out what works best for you. Keeping good decisions around will help you to be successful with your weight loss goals and feel better about yourself. They will also help you manage your stress better and keep you going when you most need to.
