Golf on Hawaii (Big Island)?
JW asked:
I’ve got a trip booked for a week to the Big Island and am looking for some (experienced) feedback on the golf courses on the Kailua-Kona side. I’ve been there once and played Mauna Lani-South & Mauna Kea. I know Mauna Kea is closed right now and we’ll do Mauna Lani-South again but any feedback on the following courses would be great:
1. Mauna Lani-North
2. Hapuna
3. Big Island CC
4. Kona CC (Ocean and Mountain)
5. Waikoloa (Beach & Kings)

I know Hualalai is great but we’re not guests at the Four Seasons, so unless you have a trick to get on there–it’s out.

Aloha!
Waikoloa is a drive from Kona. There are several courses in the area, but some a re private and some are from the hotels (Marriot and Hilton.) I wasn’t really playing golf when we stayed there a few years ago, but from our hotel, the courses looked nice.

I found a huge list of golf courses in Hawaii. I’m sure if you called one of the courses they would be able to help you.
