Need travel advice! Costa Rica or Hawaii?

I am going to do a work exchange program on a coffee farm in either Costa Rica or Hawaii, but I can’t decide which! When not working, I’ll be exploring, and I’m just wondering which would be better for a female traveling alone. My Spanish is decent. The towns are Sarchi (CR) and Captain Cook (Kona, Hawaii). If you’ve spent time in either, I’d love to hear your opinion. Thanks!
Oh, and it would be for at least a couple months

Go to Costa Rica… I live in Hawaii, nothing really exciting here except for the nice beaches.

i went to Hawaii and it was amazing.
i think it would probably be easier to go to Hawaii because its technically still the US so they speak english, u dont have to go through customs, but they still have a great culture!
have fun either way!

Go to Costa Rica because your spanish is decent and now you have a chance to speak it even better.It would be better to experience a culture change.
