What is there to do in Kona, Hawaii?

Wondering asked:


I will be there in May for a week… i was wondering if any one has some past expirences that they can share or point me in the right direction to have things to do. Also do you know what the driking age is?

    Go to the City Of Refuge, walk on the beach, visit Volcanoes National Park, go to a Luau.

    You can go down to Captain Cook, drive up to the summit of Mauna Kea, go up north to the “Boiling Pots” (hot springs), drive over to Hilo and ask around to find the “rope swing” (great swimming hole). Also drive down to the lava fields, and hike to the green sand beach.
    There is plenty to do on the Big Island.
